Deploy Switch to production environment, by e.g. a blue-green deployment strategy.

Test Perform manual and automated tests on application on test environment.

Monitor Collect data and provide analytics on performance, errors, etc.

Release Release to application to the production environment (automated via pipeline)

Build Create and review Pull Requests in shared repository. Merge Pull Request.

Operate Application is now available for end- users.

DevOps is a way-of-working and a set of ools for software development (Dev) and operations (Ops). It’s main goals is to shorten the development life cycle (speed up time to market) and provide continuous delivery with high software quality. Parts of DevOps came from Agile methodology.
