DMN

Decision Model and Notation is a common notation to model (more) complex business decisions and business rules. It is comple- mentary to BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and CMMN (Case Model and Management Notation). Unlike BPMN and UML, DMN is not owned by an institution like OMG. The DMN standard is supported by (a handful of) software suppliers. DMN uses readable diagrams to model decisions to be created by business analysts and to be implemented by technical developers, in a decision engine, like Camunda. Part of DMN is based on FEEL (Friendly Enough Expression Language), which describes the con- ditions against which the input data should be validated.
